Charles Q. Pearson graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of New York at Buffalo where he majored in economics and political science before taking his juris doctorate at Harvard Law School. Mr. Pearson interned on Capitol Hill working for several congressional committees and subcommittees, including the Banking and Finance Committee and the House Committee on the District of Columbia. He began his legal career with the Council of the District of Columbia where he developed economic and housing policy, wrote legislation affecting residents of the Nation’s Capital, provided legal advice to elected politicians and oversaw more than $40 million of the District’s budget. In addition to Capitol Hill, Mr. Pearson’s federal experience included stints with the US Department of Labor and the US Department of Agriculture. After practicing law in a small Washington litigation firm, he turned his attention to structuring corporate enterprises including offshore business development. Mr. Pearson’s years of experience includes advising on overseas business transactions in diverse locales including Hong Kong, London, Accra and Abidjan.
